Thank you for a successful exhibition -Cowes in the Fifties.
This is the title of next year's exhibition. We have already made a list of famous and not so famous people associated with Cowes. Well known names & less well known people there is a fascinating history to be discovered. Members of Cowes Heritage have put their names beside a name on the list. Great news: to coincide with our next exhibition "Cowes in the Fifties" Cowes Heritage have produced a new book THE SHOPS OF COWES. Available at the exhibition at a cost of £10.00 this book chronicles the history of premises from Birmingham Rd to the Parade, As well as listing the many changes that have occoured it is full of fascinating old photos, invoices & adverts recapturing time gone by. The book also lists up to date information.
