Yet another successful exhibition. There were nearly 1800 visitors during the three weeks we were open. Thank you to those who wrote the many positive comments; this makes our efforts seem well worth while.

We were very pleased with the praise for those who did the research and put together the boards and folders. A great deal of new material was found which has been added to our ever growing archive.

Seventieth anniversary of the bombing of Cowes

An exhibition featuring the terrible events of the weekend 4th/5th May 1942 including the part played by ORP Blyskawica in the defence of Cowes.

Cowes Piers

Just published!

Cowes Piers.

A book about the history of piers in Cowes incorporating both text and many photographs, including copies of old postcards depicting the Royal Pier off The Parade which opened in 1867 and its replacement opened in 1902.

Also told is the story of the pier off Fountain Yard which served regular Southampton-Cowes ferry service.

Written Angela McMurtry, all profits go to Cowes Heritage, of which she is a member.
